What is 370 Music Group?370 Music Group is a non-profit and non-exclusive record label and music licensing company. As a project of The LACM Foundation, all profits support the foundation's scholarship fund. 370 Music Group has 2 teams, 370 Artists focusing on label services and 370 Songs focusing on sync/licensing services.

How can I get involved?370 opportunities are currently only open to LACM students and alumni. CURRENT STUDENTS: Current LACM student are eligible to join our team, submit to be signed as a 370 Artist, or submit tracks for representation in our 370 Songs licensing catalog. ALUMNI: LACM Alumni are eligible to submit tracks for 370 Songs but we are not currently signing alumni acts to 370 Artists. We'll let you know if this changes!

Why are all submissions through DISCO? What if I don't have a DISCO account? Where do I sign up for DISCO through LACM?All submissions for 370 run through DISCO. DISCO is a music management platform used by many of our industry partners. Good news - all active LACM students have access to a free DISCO account during their education. Students receive an email with setup instructions but if you need assistance, you can reach out to careercenter@lacm.edu to set up a DISCO training session. While it's preferred, a DISCO account is not required in order to submit via our DISCO inboxes.

How do I submit via DISCO?IF YOU DO HAVE A DISCO ACCOUNT: You can submit an existing playlist from your DISCO account by clicking the green “Send Your Own Playlist” button at the top of any of our submission pages. Make sure your playlist includes contact information and all of the submission requirements before sending! IF YOU DON'T HAVE A DISCO ACCOUNT: You can upload materials directly to the page by dropping files into the upload box. Please be sure to include your contact information and any required details in the message box along with your tracks/files/etc.

Can I submit/start from scratch if I have nothing?Submission for 370 Songs do require a final mix for consideration. Submissions for 370 Artists can include rough tracks or demos.

How can I work on the student team? What if I'm interested in the music business?If you're interested in joining the 370 team, the first step is joining our volunteer team. Volunteers are onboarded at the beginning of each quarter. If you'd like to be considered, email info@370musicgroup.org with a resume and your primary topics of interest. Volunteer placements are based on the needs of the team, and volunteers do work on a variety of tasks across both teams, but we'll do our best to match you based on your interests.

How long does it take to hear back from 370 Music Group after submitting music?The turnaround time will vary based on your submission. Missing details, metadata, or contact information can cause longer response times. Artist submissions may not be followed up on until we have an upcoming audition showcase to invite you to. If you ever have questions or concerns about submitted materials, you can email info@370musicgroup.org to follow up with us!

Are there any fees associated with signing or submitting to 370 Music Group?There are no fees involved! Depending on the project, revenue splits may apply but 370 is a non-exclusive and non-profit project. We don't take any income from artists directly and we don't take any percentage of song ownership/backend royalties.

What is 370 Songs?370 Songs is the sync/licensing department of 370 Music Group. 370 Songs accepts submissions to add tracks to our curated DISCO catalog. This catalog is tagged and searchable by active music supervisors and other music industry professionals. We aim to source unique sync/licensing opportunities for all tracks in our catalog.

How do I submit tracks to 370 Songs? What does 370 look for in a Songs submission?370 Songs accepts final mixes of tracks in all genres via the DISCO inbox linked on 370 page of the student portal. We are looking for strong music that we feel is licensable. The ideal submission includes all necessary metadata, clear contact information for all rights holders, and instrumental or clean mixes, as applicable. Tracks are reviewed by our team and selected songs are added to our curated DISCO catalog, searchable by music supervisors and other industry professionals. If 370 is interested in a track you've submitted a team member will reach out with additional details and a contract for you to review.

What split does LACM/370 take from sync fees?For any licensing opportunities, 370 Music Group splits the upfront sync fees 50/50. We do not claim any song ownership so all backend royalties go to you and any other rights holders. 370 is a non-profit project so any profits made support The LACM Foundation scholarship fund.

Can I send my music out for other licensing opportunities if it's in the 370 catalog?Yes, 370 is a non-exclusive project. You are able to submit your tracks elsewhere. If you need to remove tracks from our catalog for an exclusive opportunity, please email a termination notice to us at songs@370musicgroup.org.

What is 370 Artists?370 Artists encompasses the record label project under 370 Music Group. Our team signs and develops LACM talent and offers label services for artists and bands working towards new releases.

How do I sign with 370 as an artist? What is the submission process for 370 Artists?Step 1: Submit your music If you’re interested in signing with 370 Music Group, please submit materials via the DISCO inbox linked on the 370 page in the student portal. Artists can submit demos in any state. We also ask for social links, an artist bio, and any other materials that might help us understand your vision for your artist project. Step 2: Audition Showcase Once our team has had a chance to review your materials, you'll be invited to perform at one of our Audition Showcases. Step 3: Artist Meeting & Intake Form After performing, artists we're interested in working with will be asked to fill out an intake form and meet with the 370 team. Step 4: Offer Extended After we're sure 370 is the best fit for you, you'll receive a contract to review and sign!

How many artists does 370 sign?The number of signed artists on the 370 roster will vary depending on the quarter, number of submissions, and our team's bandwidth. An invitation to perform, meet with the team, or fill out our Artist Intake Form does not guarantee an offer to sign with 370.

What if I don’t have any promo materials for 370 to use/review?Photo content is always helpful but promo materials are not required for a 370 Artists submission! If you are submitting an artist project without any photo/video content or social media pages to illustrate the current state of the artist's image, you can share a short description of the artist image/branding as an alternative.

Do I need to have a band?Unless you're submitting a band project, a band is not required to submit to 370 Artists. You can still submit your music if you don't have a band you play with regularly.

Do you have to play live if I make electronic music?If you submit to 370 Artists and the tracks you share have a lyrical element, you will be asked to perform to tracks for the Audition Showcase. Instrumental only tracks will be shared for live feedback during the Audition Showcase.

How involved is 370 Music Group in the creative process of its artists? What is the artist’s level of creative control once they sign with 370 Music Group?The 370 team is hands-on with artist projects, aiming to guide, make suggestions, and work together to realize the artists' creative vision. Ultimately, it is up to the artists to be communicative and clear about their creative choices. Part of the selection process for 370 Artists does include an artist meeting so that we can ensure that 370 is the ideal team to assist you in realizing your goals.
